Students can apply for $2,500 in financial support from Columbus’s premiere criminal defense lawyers.

That’s why, beginning in 2024, KOFFEL | BRININGER | NESBITT will offer the Moral Responsibility and the Application of Law Scholarship to a talented student.
The Moral Responsibility and the Application of Law Scholarship promises $2,500 to students whose academic and interpersonal success makes them stand out from a class of their peers. Students applying for this scholarship must create a video essay highlighting their standout qualities while also answering the following question:
“What is an attorney’s moral responsibility in the application of law?”
The scholarship video essays students submit need to be between 30 and 60 seconds in length. Students applying for the scholarship do not need to express an interest in the study of law to answer this question or otherwise qualify for the firm’s financial support.
The team asks that students share their videos by posting the essays to YouTube as unlisted videos. Students can include links to their videos along with the rest of their application materials, including proof of attendance at an accredited university and proof of eligible GPA.
The scholarship selection committee reserves up to three months to consider all applications submitted by qualifying students. The scholarship selection committee will not consider applications submitted without all essential materials or sent to the firm after the scholarship’s submission period closes.
