Trump vows to protect Medicare benefits for seniors
THE VILLAGES, FL, October 05, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ — Talk of The Villages reported from Spanish Springs Town Square this week as President Trump’s visit unfolded. Trump arrived to the Villages Thursday afternoon via motorcade to hold an address at the Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center to an invitation only audience. The address was livestreamed, and focused on an array of topics including impeachment inquiries, lowering prescription drug costs, and Medicare benefits.
In regards to Medicare, Trump stated, “We are going to defend Medicare like it’s never been defended before. You deserve more days with your grandkids and the freedom to enjoy the most rewarding years of your life. You’ve worked hard and you’ve paid for it.” During the address, Trump signed an executive order that will expand Medicare’s private insurance options for seniors. This acts as a denouncement to “Medicare for all” plans.
To protect healthcare benefits for seniors, Trump insisted on the following:
Medicare Advantage plans which rely on private insurers, and doesn’t involve the costs associated with supplemental plans.
Lowering prescription drug costs to Floridians with the help of Governor DeSantis, who will travel to Canada and Europe to find lower costs.
