BALANCE eating disorder treatment center™ is awarded accreditation for excellence by the New York State Office of Mental Health
NEW YORK, NY, June 16, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ — BALANCE, New York City’s premier eating disorder center, has been granted licensure by the New York State Office of Mental Health. The facility has earned accreditations as a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and a Mental Health Clinic. Additionally, the treatment center has been granted standing as a licensed Telehealth facility, allowing the center to provide expanded virtual treatment services.
Founded in 2009 by internationally recognized eating disorder expert Melainie Rogers, BALANCE offers comprehensive levels of outpatient treatment programming to adolescent and adult individuals of all genders.
Ms. Rogers, MS, RDN, CDN, CEDRD-S is a registered dietitian certified in the treatment of eating disorders by the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals and a professor at New York University’s Graduate School of Nutrition and Food Studies.
The new credentialing will enable the treatment facility to offer individuals suffering from eating disorders access to more affordable quality care via both virtual and in-person treatment options.
