Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame celebrating 20th Anniversary with 2023 Inductee Class and Reunion of Past Inductees
PHILADELPHIA, PA, October 13, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ — On Thursday November 2nd the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame will hold the 2023 Induction Ceremony and Reception. The event will be held at Live! Casino & Hotel, located at 900 Packer Avenue, sitting across from the South Philadelphia Sports Complex.
This year will also mark the 20th anniversary of the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame, and so in addition to this year’s 16 new Inductees, the Induction Ceremony will also serve as a reunion celebration of sorts for the Hall’s past Inductees.
“The Induction Ceremony is an opportunity for past Inductees to welcome in the new Hall of Famers,” said Hall of Fame Senior Advisor Dan Fahy, Jr. “We have been working closely with all of our living Inductees, working to see as many of them as possible come home to join this year’s special celebration.”
There will be past Inductees present from each class going back to the 2004 Charter Class at this year’s event. Among past Inductees scheduled to intend include: Ron Jaworski, Bill Bergey, Beth Anders, Bill Bradley, Bob Boone, Wali Jones, Bill Barber, Brian Propp, Eric Lindros, Sonny Hill, John LeClair, Debbie Black, Bill Melchionni, Fran Dunphy, Herb Magee, Speedy Morris, Susan Francia, Merrill Reese, Ray Didinger, Dan Baker, members of the 1974-75 Philadelphia Flyers, and many, many more.
“The annual Induction Ceremony is a celebration of Philadelphia’s rich sports history, through our Inductees,” continued Fahy. “With this year’s special 20th anniversary reunion and the presence of our past Inductees who will be attending, it promises to be a truly special evening.”
