[PRESSWIRE] London, United Kingdom – 2 December, 2016 — On Tuesday evening, Carly Paoli performed a selection of songs in front of an enthralled and appreciative invited audience. Celebrities from all spheres of the industry attended the event, which took place at the Arts Club in Dover Street and was introduced by the legendary lyricist Don Black. The event was well attended and it was clear that Carly’s singing entranced all.
Carly performed a programme of music that exhibited the prodigious talents of this multi-faceted singer. There were songs that will feature on her forthcoming album due to be released early in 2017, including ‘A Time for Mercy.’ This was the inspiration for the amazing concert that took place in the historic Roman Forum in July this year.
Her new song – released on the 25th November – ‘My Christmas Dream is You,’ was a particular delight. She also thrilled the audience with performances of ‘The Mystery of Your Gift,’ ‘Still Dream,’ and two songs dedicated to Carly’s love of Judy Garland. Her last song ‘One Bright Star,’provoked a standing ovation and ensured the evening was a spectacular artistic success.
Proceeds from ‘My Christmas Dream is You,’ are going towards the Manchester based charity ‘When You Wish Upon a Star.’ Carly is a patron and has been involved with the charity, which helps children with life threatening illnesses, since she was a teenager.
The song, which comes out on the ABIAH Music label – an independent record label – has already achieved the number one spot in the iTunes classical chart. The accompanying video, which is also available on all music download sites, features fifteen of the children that the charity is currently helping. The special guest of course was Father Christmas.
Carly Paoli is the rising star in the classical crossover music world. She has already sung for HRH The Prince of Wales, and has performed duets with Jose Carreras, Andrea Bocelli and Elaine Paige. She has shared the stage with Jennifer Hudson, Kate Hudson, Steven Tyler and performed in front of Muhammad Ali. She has headlined events in New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Kuala Lumpur, Florence, Monaco and Rome. She has already released three singles on iTunes and her new album, where the London Symphony Orchestra accompanies her, will be released early in 2017.
