The duet blends classic Christmas, country rock, pop, bluegrass and a pinch of zydeco for a recipe that is a must have for anyone Riding By Christmas Lights in the U.S. and abroad. Portions of profits will be used to develop plans for a community for adults with disabilities and the people who love and support them in north metro Atlanta’s Cherokee county.
Riding By Christmas Lights was written by Chip Hullender and Stuart Settles. Steve Stone guitarist from the Atlanta Rhythm Section added all guitars, banjo, mandolin and dobro. Stuart Settles of Carrot Igloo Inc. Studio recorded, engineered, produced and played Synth and Piano. Rodney Mills of Rodney Mills Master House and Lynyrd Skynyrd and 38. Special fame mastered the single.
Mary Beth Benson a pop, country, indie singer and musician from Cartersville, GA. Sang lead and it features Luke Berryhill, a 19 year old sophomore at Georgia Southern, Stuart Settles – synth/piano, Susan Griffithe – violin, John Williams – sax, Connor Ingram – drums, John Kell – sax solo. Tommy 'Taz' Williams, Hayleigh Carringer (7), Alex Gilliam (10), Grace Settles (10), Jacob Doyon (8), Carrie Stribling and Chip Hullender added backing vocals. Dawson Hullender (18) Chip's son with Cerebral Palsy and Apraxia added Sleigh Bells and Triangle.
Chip Hullender and his wife Brandi, longtime Home Depot employees are coordinating philanthropists, local government, disability advocates, teachers, parents and students within the Georgia special needs community to develop plans for a "community" for adults with physical and developmental disabilities and the people who love and support them. Sales of the song in the U.S and worldwide are fueling that effort.
