NEW YORK, NY, July 24, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ — Creator Jose Ramos unveils a reimagined chess universe featuring 20+ legendary characters, spellcasting mechanics, and nine battlefield configurations built for up to four kingdoms at once.

Kingdom Come, the new medieval fantasy strategy game that reimagines chess as an epic multiplayer battle for the crown, officially launches today. Developed by creator Jose Ramos and brought to market with Liberty Book Publisher, Kingdom Come introduces players to a realm where classic chess strategy collides with spellcasting, double-moving queens, teleporting wizards, and battles that can host up to four kingdoms on a single board.

The game is available now at kingdome-game.tech, where players can order handcrafted first-edition boards, explore the full cast of characters, and play the classic 8×8 mode online free of charge.

A New Kind of Chessboard

At its foundation, Kingdom Come honors the strategy that has made chess endure for centuries, then builds an entire fantasy kingdom on top of it. Twenty-plus playable characters, including the Super Queen, the Mystic King, Dragons, Gargoyles, Sorceresses, and Wizards, each carry unique movement rules and special abilities that layer new tactical depth onto every match.

A full spell system lets players cast Sleep, Teleport, Bind, and Revival spells mid-game, each requiring the caster to declare it aloud, turning every match into as much a performance as a battle plan.

Kingdom Come ships in nine distinct board configurations, ranging from the KC Style 8×8, a two-player introduction to the realm, up through the KC Quad X Parabellum 12×12, a four-kingdom total war featuring every special piece in play.

For players who want the ultimate test, the Tri-Board Phantom Dimension mode pits three kingdoms against one another simultaneously on a triangular battlefield, complete with a Crown Board mechanic that keeps the endgame shifting until the final move.

A Dream Realized

Kingdom Come traces its roots to a challenge posed years ago by Ramos’s late brother, Bert, a gifted storyteller who first dreamed of a six-player chessboard. Ramos carried that idea forward, and the Super Queen, now one of the game’s signature characters, was the first piece born from it. What began as an unanswered riddle has grown into a full universe of kingdoms, characters, and rules built for players of every stripe.

“Kingdom Come is the game I wished existed when I was a kid with nothing but borrowed toys and a big imagination. Every character, every board, every spell came from asking, why not? I can’t wait for players to sit down, pick their warrior, and find out what a six-player kingdom really feels like.”

— Jose Ramos, Creator of Kingdom Come

“We work with a lot of creators, but Kingdom Come stood out immediately. Jose built an entire strategic universe from scratch, twenty-plus characters, nine board formats, a working spell system, and did it with real craft. Launching this game today is exactly the kind of ambitious, original project we love bringing to the table.”
