Summary: Over half of the British population (53%) shows zero inclination towards venturing into outer space.
LONDON, ENGLAND, May 09, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ — According to a YouGov Poll, more than half of Brits (53%) have no interest in travelling to outer space. The survey, which polled 2,000 UK adults, also found that only 35% of respondents would be willing to embark on a space adventure.
The findings suggest that despite the growing interest in space tourism and the increasing number of companies offering space travel opportunities, a significant portion of the British population remains unconvinced.
“These results highlight the divide between those who are fascinated by the idea of space travel and the majority of whom are not,” said Becky Moore, founder of Global Grasshopper, a popular UK travel blog. She added, “While space tourism may seem like a thrilling adventure to some, it’s clearly not a priority for everyone. It’s important for companies in the space tourism industry to understand their target audience if they want to succeed.”

Some of the most popular overseas travel destinations for Brits in 2023 include Spain, Greece, Turkey, Dubai, USA, Mexico, Thailand, Australia, Egypt, Austria, Croatia, Norway, Iceland, Canada and Belgium.
Many experts believe that it is the initial danger associated with space travel that has many Brits deciding to hold it off till it becomes safer.
However, space will continue to be the destination of choice for the adventurous few who have done it all but want to take things one step further. Not to mention also have the money to fund their trip, which is estimated to cost a few million pounds.
